Hello,
I have a 04 Ralliart Sportback, I recently bought it and for some reason the hood latch wont lock. I may buy a new one but I dont know if its needed. I keep trying to adjust the hood latch but still wont lock. It locks but I can pull it open, It also just pops up when I drive over any bump in the road or worse on the highway. The emergency lock works great.
Can any one provide a picture of their hood latch, I have seen some different latches on the internet.

Underneath, somewhere around the front corners of the hood, should be a couple of cylindrical rubber bungs that can be wound in or out. These set the height of the hood so you can dial out any excess lash so the hood stays "tight" when you close it. If those are wound out too far they could stop the hood from going all the way down so the latch can't close.

Check that!
