Debating??

Guys,

I need your honest opinion here!!

I have been clamoring for a Ralliart for sometime now, and have been watching all of the posts on the board with a HUGE grin on my face.

Anyways ... I have been given the oppurtunity to trade in my 2003 Mazda 6s for a brand new 2004 Red Ralliart for $288/month on a Balloon payment plan w/ $1500 down. It has no packages, which is fine with me as I would rather not have the sunroof.

So ... what do you guys think?? Should I hold off for less down, or a lower payment, or in your opinoins ... is this a solid deal??

BTW - They may also throw in the Evo VIII Spoiler as well!!

Nick

Well - I'm trying to lower my monthly car payments .. and I have always loved the Lancer ... and it's the closest thing I can afford next to a Evo VIII!!!

BTW - The Ralliart is just as fast to 60 as the Mazda 6 .. it has a underpowered 6 cylinder compared to it's competitors!!

Another reason for getting rid of is that the depreciation on this thing has been astronimical. It has already lost $10K of the orginal price and it's only been 8 months since I bought it. Mazda is owned by FORD, so it's no wonder this thing can't hold it's value. It's pissing me off!!

i say go for the RA...call me crazy but the Mazda 6 i am sure weighs more than the RA so it might feel like it has the same amount of power. I could be wrong though. I had an underpowered v6 in my sebring and the sebring was a lot heavier than the RA. My RA gets up and flies just as much as the sebring did. I LOVE my RA it's quick and easy to maneuver. Hope this helps!

Let me reword my first post ... I have pretty much decided to get rid of the Mazda, I'm just wondering if the $288/month with $1500 down is a good deal or not???

For those out there that already own a Ralliart .. how do these figures compare with what your paying??

Not enough info. What is the selling price of the RA? What are they allowing on the Mazda? What is the payoff on the Mazda? What is the interest rate? How many months of $288? How much for the final balloon pmt? All that info is required to know if it's a good deal.

$1500 down and $288/mo for 24 mo. with a balloon of $3k is great.

$1500 down and $288/mo for 60 mo. with a balloon of $7k stinks.

Hopefully that illustrates why every component of the info is needed.

Just slam on your breaks in front of a mercedes or something, claim whiplash, sue, buy an evo VIII with the settlement.

with all the rebates and good interest rates they're giving for brand new lancers these days, i've heard that they depreciate A LOT as soon as they're off the lot, i'm not planning on getting rid of mine anytime soon though
