Ok rentaslut, please read before you respond, and read all of it. The only bad responce is one that would have been answered if you had read the entire thread. Thank you.

You know, my I only question to this whole thing is...
What is the point of this thread? When you started you said it seems expensive to make the car drag ready. Then people agree and say that the car is made to be fun and handle well while still having some good power for a daily driver. You have pretty much said everything about how drag cars are all BIG V8's, so what is the point. OK here ya go,

1. YES old muscle AND european cars can be made faster for drag than 4 cyl imports (duh)

2. YES it is a lot of money to get into rediculous times in the 1/4

3. YES everybody here knows that

4. YES these cars can be made reasonably fast for reasonable money (ie mid 11's in the 1/4)

5. NO a firebird wont ever outhandle an Evo or STi. (hell I dont know if it could ever outhandle a stock Evo or Sti even after mods)

6. Has anything in this thread been productive???

NO!!!

Hate to be the guy to tell it how it is and I am not trying to be a dick, but there really hasnt been anything worth reading here. But then hey...thats just my .02

Hey, I'm just trying to make conversation by making a observation on the fact that some people (not all) try to make what seems to be competition drag car out of cars like ours; and to me it seemed to be a lot more expensive than other means. Once again I'm not saying it's wrong, just financially inefficent. I'm sorry if you feel it's a waste of time, but I'll be the first to admint that I wasn't trying to make a lot of progress, I guess I wanted to see what people thought about that fact. If you have a issue with the thread please report it and i'm sure they will be happy to delete it.

P.S. I would argue your point 5, There's always a way to make something do what you want with the right amount of money, even if it means making you own custom tube frame and as such.

Alright, due to the fact that most people don't seem to see the point i'm trying to get at (not saying it's your fault, I should be able to explain better, but I'm tired of trying) I'm gona just leave this thread alone, and drop the subject before I tick someone off or I get ticked off. Please feel free to respond, but I'm not going to try to explain my point any more, sorry for the confusion.
