Ok, this is my first time posting on this forum, I'm pretty well set to buy a Lancer Ralliart, but I'm unsure about body kits/other mods. I see alot of sites that only have bks and mods for the EVO 8 and I was wondering how many of these (ie the types-manifolds, exhausts, kits, etc....) would work with the Ralliart. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a toyota avalon '96 right now, and its been a bit buggy with the computer/passenger window/alarm/engine light all non serious but really annoying, any common problems with a lancer? and what's the regular maintenence cost to you?

Not many people are going to know about the repair costs for two reason...1) We have a 10 year/100,000mile warranty, so hopefully everything that comes up for awhile is covered and 2) The Ralliart is brand new for '04. There hasn't been enough time for things to start falling apart. Always exceptions, but for the most part, you will have to wait awhile to get a maintenance history started.

anywho, i just got my oz last week, its a 2002 but i love it, our cars are new to the states so there is no history on problems, if you get new you have a great warrenty, i know there are some body-kits offered that make he rally-art look for like the evo 7-8 than our oz's

give it a few months time and there will be more offered i.e. turbos, more kits, etc, etc

believe me, this is a great community, even when it comes to random stuff, we really do have a great group of people here, our moderators aren't dicks and most people here are pretty cool.

we have group buys on kits/ performance parts so when 10-20 ppl buy something from a vendor you sometimes get wholesale price!!

Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was in the same position you were in about a month ago and now I know almost everything there is to know about the RA... (RA?!!? Two month's ago I wouldn't have known what that meant!) lol But yea, RRM is in the process of developing a turbo for the RA... they have some pretty nice stuff on their site But yea, as previously stated. You're not really gonna find many people with maintenance problems 'cause the first RA model was '04 Plus, the car kick's *** so it isn't gonna fall apart (yet ) Check out the Newbie/FAQ forums for stuff and just read through old thread's about the RA When I first got here I read almost every thread in the RA forum... one's from before the RA was even out... hahaha

But yea, enough ranting. Welcome

 

I would dare to say 95% of all the EVO stuff will not fit the Ralliart. I bought a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon when they first came out. It took about 1 year for the aftermarket to really get rolling. Now there are 300 HP supercharger kits and everything else you could imagine. Just give things some time. There are good things in store for the Ralliart.

 

And you are right! Most of it won't fit the RA
I'd say when I buy my RA (Within a year's time) LOTS of nice goodies will be out... hopefully

 

I just recently heard that the chasis is pretty much the same as the EVO 8...is that correct? would a body kit for the EVO 8 fit on the RA? I understand now about the mechanical parts as well, my friend (EVO 8 guy himself) explained the diff to me

 

I would assume most cosmetic parts, i.e. body kits, hoods, and stuff should fit, but most things engine related will not fit because they have different engines. I am also new to the mitsu world and I'm not sure how closely related the engines are. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
