Removing Dash

How do I remove the Upper dash board, so that I may take it compleatly out of the car without harming the air bags or sensors?

If you are trying this in any car you should have a FACTORY service manual at least. It will give you every thing you need to know. You can usually pick one up on ebay for 10-15 bucks.

As for your question. The sensors for your airbags are not in the dash, they are in impact zones. The drivers airbags can usually be removed by 4 8MM bolts in the back of the steering wheel and a harness connector. I cannot speak for the passengers but I am willing to bet that it is a seperate unit that sits behind the dash.

I recently removed the dash on my DSM and the biggest headache what the amount of fasteners to keep track of. But, the factory service manual I bought on ebay for 10 bucks individually lists each type of fastener (theres like 10 different types) and where they are used.

Hope this is some help.
