FOr total power I think CAI will yield 1-2 more h.p but there is trade off between midrange and topend. It is a minimal difference but would prolly show up on a dyno.

well i dont really need top end power... ive never gone faster than 100 in my RA so far... id rather have better acceleration up to like 80 than have more power after 100 mph, i was planning on getting a few mods after i get my first scheduled maintaince (end of july)... and also i want to check with my dealer to make sure i wont void any warranties with buying stuff from RRM... just to make sure its cool with them... if not... i can always take off the intake and put the old crap box back on when i go in for my checkups :P

so which is better the SRI or the CAI for just acceleration like around town... i dont usually go faster than 80ish

Intakes and exhaust are not supposed to void warranty. We have Mitsu dealers that buy both from us for RA. So.......... no problem.

Personally i like the CAI due to the sound and the fact that it keeps intake temps down. You get intake air at outside temps instead of engine bay temps. The engine bay on that car gets upwards of 130 degrees sometimes. Especially now that it is coming into summer. As you mod the car further the CAI will give you more improvement in throttle and driveablility than the Short ram since it's intake temps are lower.

when intake temps go high the computer retards some timing... this makes driveability and throttle response deminish. The car just won't seem to have the same pep.
