Trunk Rattle!! Need Help

Ok when I turn the stock stereo on its ok. When I switch on my amp with the 2 12's in the trunk it starts rattling the trunk. I know many of you have systems in your car. What can I do to get rid of this rattle??? Thanks.

Yep, dynomat's the way to go. There's not much you can do w/ all that bass and compressed air in such a small space. Try putting a piece behind your license plate too - that's one of the worst rattles, in all my previous experience (I used to have 2 solobaric 12" kickers being pushed by Rockfordfosgates and JBL's pushed by a Nakamichi and an HK)

That's what I'll be doing when I install my equipment in the next week or two (reading around the forums, found that everyone who had subs had trunk rattles in this car.) Shop around, you can pick up a Dynamat trunk kit for about $60-$70, and then if you don't have enough extra dynamat left over from that, pick up a license plate kit for about $12.

Wow! I didn't know they actually made a kit for the license plate! Cool.

i was looking at the trunk there is no insulation what so ever i would also sugest using a little bit of spray foam in between the panels on the trunk (please make sure not to inerupt the loccing mecanism).

Yeah, it even comes with a "Dynamat" license plate frame (the frame isn't made of dynamat). When translated, it reads "Steal me!"
