Thumbs up Quick mods wanted list

While our car is getting more mods every week, everyone is really focusing on the high end stuff. There is nothing wronge with this. I mean, who wouldnt like a turbo? But, there are a few things that I havnt seen anyone make for our cars that would be very easy to do, and cheap enough that all of us could afford. Here is a starter list:

1) Non-mitsu Ground Kit
2) Sun&Sound rear strut brace
3) Non-mitsu Grill inserts
4) Smoked head/tail lights
5) Mudflaps
6) sparkplug wires
7) cf weight reductions (hood/trunk)
8) lower mesh grill

Its a start. Any other suggestions? Anyone actually mass-producing these already? Ill update this list with any other easy and affordable additions anyone would like to see! Maybe some more vendors will take notice, or existing ones can get some new ideas.

I'd like to see some black out taillights why black the headlights and not the
taillights. THe rear stut for S&S owners go look at the sub box there is no way a bar will ever fit unless the box is moved.

adam: I agree, but if someone can pull off the S&S bar, alot of people would be very happy. No biggie though. If i go out for an autox, my sub is getting taken out anyway =]

who else makes the grill? I know the mitsu one is like $300. crazy! I thought i saw someone else making one, but it was ugly as sin (imo).

just some low gague (big) wires to ground the electrical system a bit better. Makes for a smoother idle. Some say it gives power gain, but most of us call BS on that (some say decals give power gain Anyway, its easy to make you self, although that often looks hacked. The mitsu kit is over $100 for about $8 worth of wire. Other reports are that it improves the sound sound system quality, which is understandable. who sells the mitsu kit in the US? none of my dealers will even special order it for me....

I personally would like to see a carbon fiber hood and trunk deck for BIG weight savings...which is suppose to be in the making by Accolade?

Next I would like to see a complete header that includes the catalytic converter using 2.5" piping to the cat-back system. I like the rrm downpipe but retaining emissions is appropiate in my girls respect(it is her RA!). I understand why they made the DP like they did because you cannot unbolt the catlytic converter from the downpipe...it is all one piece.

I would like to see the results of a piggyback like the SAFC or another such adjustable A/F controller. Once again the RRM piggyback is great but when a little 100 octane is added to the picture I would truly like to take advantage of it.

Lightweight crank and other pulleys for extra power. This would be good for NA & F/I.

Now this is a dumb one...but a Ralliart front winshield visor like 36X4 or something...just for a little more promotion that this is the RA and not just a regular lancer.

If these already exist point me a link!

Joe

I have the Mitsu mesh grille, and the grounding kit is on it's way. Now, understand that I wouldn't pay full price for these items ($200 for each, eek), but if you can, do what I did - make the dealership throw them in for free to keep you from going to Mr. Competing-mitsu-dealership.

As soon as I have the grounding kit installed, I'll put up some pictures of it so you all can see where its grounding points are. In the meantime, I'll try to get some pics of the grille up in the S&S forum.

Oh, and I found that of the three dealerships I shopped through, none of them had any idea what the grounding kit was. I had to look it up *for* them and point it out. Once that happened, they could miraculously get it. Have their parts department look under audio accessories for the "hyperground cables"

1) Ground Kit
2) Sun&Sound rear strut brace

These are in the works. I am hoping to have a S&S rear brace out late this week. Once I get it test fit, I will be selling them.

You guys can probably tell that I am listening to your input by the number of products I have out.

Keep the suggestions coming.

Thanks!

Rob

Yes.

I am still sourcing wire and parts. I always install and test on my cars before I sell anything though. As soon as I build a few and test them, I will post them up for sale.
