the RRM CAI was the first mod I had ever done to any car. It took me about 1 hour by my self. No probs. fit perfectly. its not like it just fell into place or anything, but i didnt find myself struggeling /w it or anything. the hardest part was cleaning all the sockets out of my engine when i accadentaly dumped my set right on the head! oops

I put the RRM short ram intake on and the only problem i really had was the air flow sensor on the stock air box. took me forever to get it off.

The RRM CAI went in with no problems. I trimmed the plastic panel around the CAI piping down by the frame rail. I live in a very wet environment and wanted to protect the filter from as much rain as possible.

I love the sound and the added ponies.

for RRM

hey I got a really stupid n00b question. I just ordered my injen CAI, I haven't got it yet I should get it middle of next week. I was just wondering how hard it is to install a CAI. I didn't see a how to in the RA forum... is this something I should ask my mitsu dealer to do?

It's not all that hard the injen comes with some very good instructions.

One thing to watch out for be careful removing the two bolts holding the mas in place on the stock intake. I stripped mine. Which made the install a little longer.
But other than pretty much straight forward.

Definitely not. They might install it for you, just to turn around and void your warranty.

They can't void your warranty unless you hydro lock or have some other problem but it would have to be related to the cai.

To date I haven't heard of any voided RA warranties. Correct me if I'm wrong?

No, I haven't either, but how many wrongly voided EVO warranties have you heard of? It's the same company.
