Evo swap

Has the Evo's engine ever been swapped into a ralliart and if so what were the complications if any?

More complex and money consuming than it would be to just buy an Evo. You would need literally everything to make this work. Parts and labor would total more than it would be worth IMO.

you woudl need a whole front clip...the subframe on the RA is completley different. Cheaper to just turbo the RA, although your traction is limited(not being AWD), but it would be fun to smoke the SRT4 guys.

I think is much easier to turbocharge a 2004 AWD Outlander , you know they come with the Mivec engine too.

why would you do it ... hes not being a smart ***...i was waiting for this thread to come in the RA forums......you already have a good motor...why not just boost it...even if you do swap in the evo motor you still have to cut the driveline and it will still be FWD!!!...swaps are never that easy...until someone tries it....so go ahead and swap it in and see how easy it will be

i dont see much gain from this swap. just turbo the 2.4L. you have more displacement and the mivec. If you can do a awd conversion (looks like that will be VERY hard), you would be better off. with awd fixing the traction issues (or just RRM's LSD for a quick fix) and 300-400whp after a well tuned turbo, you would prob be in the same budge /w as the evo swap with more gain.

Too bad the outlander is an ugly SUV/CAR halfbreed that would handle like crap.
