Exclamation Eating Thru Gas?...

Just got my ralli-art sunday, with a full tank, was on empty yesterday evening and put another full tank in, now this morning shes only has 3/4 of a tank left ( i did some practicing stick yesterday), why is it eating thru gas? She still is brand new with 250miles on her, its not really that bad, but she's going thru gas, should id be worried? Any answers or help is welcomed?

Thanks

well how many mile when you picked it up? If your diving hard you can expect 20 mpg the light come on with ~10.5 gallons to fill up. Also sometimes my needle dips a little low when I'm hard on the gas and it doesn't go back up to the actuall level till I restart the car (I don't know why). If your below that there is probably a problem

Don't forget: you've been learning to drive stick on this car. That means a lot of idling, sitting there thinking about what your going to do, and lots of 1st and second gear. If you leave the car running and go zero miles you will get 0 miles per gallon. Once you start driving around regularly, you will notice an improvement. You'd be surprised how quickly the gas goes when you just sit around.

yea, if you drive pretty hard, even /w a stock setup, you can burn through a tank pretty fast. If the car is still new, i would suggest slowing it down a bit to help 'break in'. i know people have diff opinions about this, but it cant hurt to not try to kill the car for the first 500 miles. once you get used to driving it and stop launching from each light at 3000rpm, the milage is pretty good . i had the same ipression at first, but its gotten better.

Mine seems to go through gas pretty good. But I don't actually measure it AND the tank is pretty small. I bet if the tank was the same size as my old car, I would have noticed a big improvement. I also drive it pretty hard (the occasional 180KPH run, that eats gas) the occasional floor up to 110KPH (WOT eats gas).
It is so hard, looking at a full tank of gas, to drive like a grandma. So hard to have a quick car and not use the quickness.

same as pocoRA. 325-340 of hard city driving

400 for high speed highway (140km+) and a bit of hard city driving

500 for 130km speed highway

and I always fill up 40-42 liters.

I usually get around 250-260 miles on all city driving...and then about 300 or so with all highway driving. Then with mixed driving it is somewhere between depending on the ratio of hwy/city. The worst gas mileage I usually get is around 22-23 mpg and the best is ~30mpg. I usually fill up with 10-11 gallons.

I just drove out to Chicago and back yesterday. 9.9 gallons got me about 275 miles, cruising at about 80-85mph (until I got near downtown Chicago). Around 27mpg.
