hoods for RA's
 

I am just wondering what companies make aftermarket hoods are RA's beside the CF hoods that I see everywhere. I am talking about hoods that you paint to match your car, but are a little more exciting to look at than the stocker.

paint the cf if you dont like the look....

that will be great ,my car is white and y dont like so much the cf look . also they will be cheapper.

yup, It would be nice if they offered hoods for our car. $hit, it would be nice if there were more parts in general for these cars.

i dont know if you can paint the CF hood. plus, even the CF hoods would not really look any different once you color matched them to your car. The only different would be the EVO style grilles in the middle of the hood.

It is possible to paint CF, but most people like to show it off, so they don't paint it. Personally i'm painting my CF stuff once I recieve it all.

i saw them paint a CF hood on Pimp My Ride... They put like a transparent purple metalic over it and then clearcoated and it looked really sweet. It looked almost like purple CF.

i would say paint the cf but it would be so much more expensive than a metal one....my neighbor (girl) came over and asked me why i had a checkered hood and that it didnt "match" the black...

I can understand painting your CF stuff if you have a color like white or red or something that doesn't complement the look. But, dude, YOU HAVE A BLACK CAR!! lol...it won't look that different....not untill you get about 5ft away.

Yeah I have TG & Have the EVO 7 CF Hood... I think it looks so nice personally... but hey... It's on you, I know you CAN paint CF, however... That's not a question...

Sorry, but I'm really anal about my car and i don't like the color difference at all. Plus, I am hooked up with a guy who owns a sweet ass paint booth. But that's just me.

If you want a painted aftermarket hood, I wouldn't spend all that money on CF. Accolade makes a hood (PFRP or fiberglass, don't remember which). It'd cost less than CF and comes in an Evo8 style. Research Accolade before making a decision on buying from them.

Otter, unless i was looking in the wrong area, accolade does not make a hood for the 2004-newer lancers. I saw one for the older ones but not for my year.
