Install headers n downpipe

Im going to install obx headers n down pipe on my o4 ra this friday I was wondering what I torque the bolts that connect the headers to the motor or if I just tighten it until I cant anymore.. I took a peek under my car and it looks like ill have problems getting the bolts off where the cat exists

Don't "tighten until you can't any more". I don't know the specific torque rating for that car, but it would be in the mechanic's manual.

You won't be able to install the oem heat shield with aftermarket headers. There are no points to mount it to ,only on the OEM header.

Disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes will reset the ecu. Doing it will only help , just besure to let her idle for a 10 minutes after reconnecting. So the ecu can relearn with the next exhaust.

I heard that the OBX headers and downpipe make the car raspy. Is it true?

heat and an impact should do it...if you're using a plumbing torch you need to heat it for a longer, if you're using like an acetylene torch or somthing you can melt the bolt heads right off...lol

you can attach images in the advanced reply, or you can create a photobucket account and embed the images...

that.... looks like a pain in the butt... you're probably better off hacking it off and welding in a new flange or something

Holy **** that thing looks like it was from a shipwreck. You can thank the salty roads. I think cutting and welding is your only option.
