Electronic ignition assembly

I am having to replace the entire electronic ignition assembly. I have the steering column apart but how do I separate the assembly itself? There are no screws or bolts. All that I see are what look like large round top rivets. Can anyone help me with this please.

can you take a picture of what you're talking about? are you replacing the switch or the whole lock cylinder assembly?
