Installing lip on Es front and rear bumpers

I got into an accident and I need to replace my rear and front bumpers so I'm planning on getting the Es ones due to them being cheaper. I was wondering how do you install a oem lip on an Es front or rear bumper? I know the holes arnt there so do you have to drill them or cut them? And how do you mount it? I didn't have a front lip on my car when I first got it because it had and Es bumper so I don't know how the bolts are supposed to be placed.

I think you should look for an aftermarket front bumper at least. Put the es rear on and forget about the rear lip , it will look cleaner and will have that much less drag.

But it is your car , the lips each have about 20 mounting points on them. The oem Ralliart bumpers have the holes precut, probably why it's more expensive. You just need to line up the lip and start drilling then use the metal taps and bolt it together. This will be a decent amount of work to look stock again, just saying.

lol. The lip kit was what made me fall in love with my Ralliart in the first place. :] So the mounting part, does the lip come with mounts already attached or are there holes that you put something like a screw to hold it in place? That's whats confusing me.

Here if you look closely there are small clips and very flat headed bolts that slide in to the lip , then bolt up with nuts from the inside.

So those clips are already pre mounted on the lip right? All I need to do is cut holes and use the mounting screws to put it on?

I dont know if they come with the kit I don't think so though. The clips and screws are removable but secure when installed. Do a search on this lip and the bolts , this was talked about a while back I just can't remember who it was that replaced the oem ra lip

I've seen it and read about it, but it didn't go much into detail on what I'm specifically looking for it was a White Ralliart. He put the lip onto his old bumper. I think he just replaced the lip. I was wondering how I would remake the holes yaknow? But yeah, I'll probably find out when I get the lip, just wondering for future reference.

My wife tore half of the lip off my car; it's duct taped on right now. Good thing it's a silver car.

The lip was mostly undamaged otherwise, but she pulled all of the metal clips off of the back of the lip. I'm going to have someone look at it this week to see if there's a way to repair it instead of buying another one.

easiest way to find out...call a mitsu dealer and get a quote for the lip..(dont buy it...)...and ask if it comes w the screws if not then you know u have to buy them separately...

EDIT: since we're SOOOOO busy at work rt now...NOT...lol...
i went to mitsubishiparts.net and looked it up...
they come separate...$1 per screw $1.81 per nut..(us$)
i know theres a few from the bottom too...those may be different screws/bolts
so ud have to find those too(if different..)
