Tein vs. Progress

O.K. I am looking to get some lowering springs for the ralliart. I am looking for some feedback from people who have either tein or progress spring kit. I did a search and didn't find what I am looking for. If I missed it then point me in the right direction. Also for those of you who have put on lowering springs with stock shocks, how are your shocks doing and if you replaced them how many miles before they crapped out.

You arent going to notice much of a difference as far as drop is concerned. The H-tech is garbage, and they only claim its a smoother ride simply due to the fact that they dont lower the car as much as the s-techs do, hence the somewhat smoother ride. The only thing that makes them different is pretty much the color (tein=green, progress=silver or blue). Normally with these springs your stock shocks will go a pretty long time. Its not like its a very drastic lowering anyways, so you should be pretty good for awhile.

I've been looking for lowering springs too. I tried H&R who says they have a lowering spring kit for the 2004-2005 Lancer Sedan. Supposed to drop like 1.4" front and 1.3" rear. Well, I finally call this dealer some place in CA. Turns out to be real nice dude....does the leg work for me and finds out that H&R have not yet approved their lowering springs for the 2004-2005 Lancer Ralliart! WTF! Is anybody else beginning to get the red a$$ trying to find parts for the freaking RA? Eibach, Sprint, H&R, you name the company, and nobody has anything for the RA. GRRRRR!

I love my progress springs. The front is perfect hieght, and the ride is still good. Only thing with the rear, is that my back end actually raised up about 1/2-1 inch. The springs are shorter, but the spring rate is higher... to high, causing the rear to rise abit. I may be reinstalling the stock rear springs now to get the look I want. Only that will eliminate the firmer cornering I gained with the new ones. Thus my delema. I may wait for a month or 2, and hope that the rears may settle alittle. Or a big heavy sub box to wiegh it down
Take a look on my cardomain page 3.

Sweet! I hope mine does that once I get my Progress springs in. IMO the rear sits just a bit too low, stock. I'd like the rear to come up a little, and the front to drop a bit, so they match.
