i had a set of 18 x 8 i wanted to put on my ra and they where rubbin bigtime . i tryed test fitting one of them without the tire on and the rim itself was actually touchin so i dont know, i geuss it all depends on the offset.

Bhodi??? This is ukr_oleg...I think it's u
If so, I though the rims you got where 18X7.5? If they are 18x8 i think you will have to roll the fenders to fit those bad boys. Good luck...And if u're Bhodi I'll see you @ the meet on friday.

well everything started with me wanting the 17 x 7...but then the yokohama parada spec-2 were 4 month back order from factory...

so they had some 215/35R18 availible....
so we decited to go to 18" thinking that DP-10 were availible in 18 x7...which now i know they are not...we got the 18 x 8...

and the 18" DP-10 are also 23.5lbs...which is 5lbs per rim heavinr thne the 17 x7 at 18.5lbs...

in any case im not geting what i originally wanted...

low cost/medium weight rim with decent tire

Motegi DP-10 18" are 218.00/each CAN...so unless someone can recomend me a better wheel that is around the same cost and close to the same look...(trying to match the EVO 9 look with Enkei rim)

I have a quick question... I know it's probably in another thread, I kinda looked but being military and mostly getting on the computer at work I don't have time to check everything... I know 18x8 definately won't fit, but does anyone have any pics of their ride with 17's or 18's? I am a fan of that "full rim" look, you know where the rim takes up a good bit of the wheel well... Either that or a link to a good thread that does...

YAY...it will work

Just got back from fitting the 18 x 8 with a 215/35R18 tire...fits perfect...no rubbing at full turns left and right...looks extremly nice...will post pictures after i put them all on ....thats whenever it actually gets warmer in Canada here...so i can actually run them without having an accident

but it will only work with +40 offset...so dont try other offsets

Yeah, once the sun comes out you can see how that 35R handles better... No rubbing at all? You didn't roll the fenders? That's nice, cuz I was looking at 18's myself... I wonder if a 18x7.5 would be a bit better though, didn't think an 18x8 would work, but guess you proved that wrong...

Yeah that's where I'm worried... Cuz I found a pair of 18's that I REALLY want, but they don't come in 17's... If I have to roll the fenders a bit, maybe, but I don't want to have to roll them to much...

nah it wasnt the fenders it was touchin, it was the control arm, thats why i wanted to know if he checked the rear cause that would suck if you had the same problem.
a spacer probaly would of helped but ther not that safe then you would probably have to roll the fenders . i mean 1/4 panels

Yeah I did check that, he says 18x7.5 offset 42 will fit... Unfortunately the wheel I like only comes in 18x8... The offset isn't to big of a deal, offset 40 is easy to find... It's the size that I'm worried about... Rolling the fenders isn't to bad either, as long as it's not to much... Also, especially since the rims I want I can get custom made for the car so they would definately be one of a kinds...

IMO 18" is just too big....please don't take this the wrong way...but if you are modding your car why get such heavy wheels?
