But tightin up the front suspension would give you understeer wouldnt it? who wants that?

Your front sway bar is big enough. Replace the bushings, that will help.
Also stiffen the rear with the RRM Sway bar and perches. That will solve a lot of the front end understeer and should balance the car for you.

FYI - a bigger front sway bar without proper balance in the rear would likely cause more understeer.
