spring and wheel help

I wanna add 17inch wheels and lowering springs to my 05 ralliart. I was wondering what combinations you guys are using for tires and springs. I'm not sure if its the same for you guys but my stock rear suspension looks pretty low already, I'm just worried that if I lower it, ill get some rubbing. Thanks

your rear end is probably sagging, mine is as well, from what i've seen most dropping springs look to be about the same, maybe a tad lower, and you may need to roll the fenders depending on your wheel size and offset.

my plan is 17x7.5 or 17x7 40 offset with 205/45/17 tires. Reading around some people are saying the progress springs from rrm will actually raise the rear from the sag and level out the car. But id also like to know more in comparison between those and the teins

Sagging is almost always from worn out dampers, not springs.

Yeah, that's something to consider, cause if my rear end sag is the same as a lowering kit on new struts, then worn shocks/struts plus lowering springs may lead to some hefty sag.

as far as wheels I am still running on stock alloy wheels since I ordered the wrong lug pattern. on the catalog it says our lancers are 4x100 so when i got the wheels they dont fit. lol.. oh well. but I might be running a volk GTP replicas. the specs are 17x7 195/40/17s Ill post a pic as soon as i get the rims mounted on the car.

they will fit, but it would look weird i think, almost like you got more rim than tire, cause i have 205's on 6.5's
