+1, RRM buys parts and resells them at a higher price. As you can see on their website, all of their pictures are taken from the SEIBON website, they're all the same. You will be getting the same product, only paying a higher price for it. I've heard SEIBON is great from many different people, most of which being shops. I've also heard that Carbon By Design is really good, only you pay a bit more for it. I just ordered a SEIBON Evo X OEM style hood, I'll let you know how it is when it comes in. Also, stating that those two companies make crap hoods because clear fades is crap. All CF clear will fade/discolour/oxodize eventually, you will eventually need a reclear or simply just get your hood painted.

Really Seibon products just a RRM logo over it?
I'll have to do my research before making sure to spend $300+ on a CF Lip

Post some pic's of the hood and what it look's like on your ride.
Thank you for that CF comment.
YES,all CF clear will fade, discolor, oxidize and if not put on correctly could bend parts of it,from what I've seen wit CF hood's. That's why I'm going to paint mine White not only to match the car but also to kinda give it that none CF look. Not a big fan of CF showing on a bright White

From what I've come to understand, upkeep on a CF hood is a lot of work/dedication. They apparently need constant waxing to keep them from cracking/oxidizing/fading and I can't even seem to manage to take my car to the automatic carwash for months at a time. That being said, CF probably isn't the best option for me lol.

Anyways my co-worker has had his Seibon CF hood for 3 years and it looks great. I imagine they have good products. At the same time, from what I've seen on youtube it seems your hood will eventually flake regardless of brand. And then there seems to be some debate on whether that's just the clear coat flaking or the glue resin that holds the CF together. Obviously the later is a lot harder to fix, and I couldn't imagine spending money to paint-match a CF hood only to have the resin separate like that. Even the clear coat, like wtf? You'd think in this day and age they'd be able to apply some sort of permanent protection to CF hoods, but then again what do I know.

Anyways I really only wanted some hood scoops to make my lancer look beefier (obviously weight reduction is a joke). Perhaps it's time to look for a cool metal hood with scoops, if such a thing exists for a decent price.

Between fading, flaking, oxidizing, upkeep, prone to heat warp, prone to damage before it even arrives at your house, etc. All roads seem to lead to a waste of money lol.

Seibon should be more than fine. Ive just heard their CF trunk for the lancer gives problems. On the other hand I know a lot of guys here with seibon hoods on their wrx's and sti's and all of them are in a great condition.
