Lancer GTS or Lancer Ralliart

Which would you get?

I can either save up some money and get a Lancer Ralliart

Or buy a Lancer GTS now for around 20-23k

Which one would you guys get?

I really like the Ralliart because of its power and design, but i could buy a GTS now and it would be cheaper than a Ralliart.

I would like a car with some power, and i am not much of a modder.

I would not get the Lancer Ralliart until at least November/December or possibly later than that(like next summer).

The lancer ralliart should be about $6k-7k more than the gts considering the powertrain. I would definitely go for the ralliart hands down. I won't do that since I already have the GTS. Next step for me is the X once insurance chills out a little bit.

if u can wait and afford it, get the RA

at first if u get the GTS/VRX u will be happy, but later on when u see RA popping up here and there u will be like "i should have waited" and then have to kill yourself

If you really have to ask, maybe the GTS would be fine for you. Personally though, the GTS isn't even an option.

My advice is only do what you can afford. If that means you have to save awhile longer for the RA then do it. Because like everyone else has said, you will regret settling for the GTS.

Definitely do not test drive an RA or anything more powerful than the GTS if you are seriously considering the GTS. For me power (power-to-weight, really) is a one way ratchet: I can't go down from what I have. That's why it will be important to me to be able to mod the RA if I get it. I'll have to get the same or better if I'm gonna be happy with it.

I own a GTS and I'm counting the days until I can finally get rid of it and buy the RA. The GTS is a very sharp looking car but its power is so far behind its styling that I regret even buying it. If you have the means then the RA is the way to go.

^ this

If I can't find a used EVO for a decent price by the end of the year or beginning of next year then I'll be all over the Ralliart.

I think i am going to hold out for a Ralliart. I hope i can get a Lancer Ralliart for 27k with the Rockford Fosgate Sound system.

That is my goal, i plan to get one before my Birthday in November.

We shall see!

With all the 1st Drive articles coming out, the odds are good that they'll be off the boat by sometime in November depending on where you live. CA is a very good bet.

I'm debating on a loaded RA or a base EVO... I love how the EVO can push 330whp with like 1500 in mods ? I'm not sure what the RA will allow w/ that TC-SST until folks with MR's start getting tunes as well. We'll see in a few months.

If the RA would come with a 5 speed, it wouldn't make a lick a difference.
