I dont see us getting the rain sensing wipers or auto on off headlamps.
I would have to opt for the Recaro package if they are the same when they come to the US.
Does anyone have any idea of the release date?

Pricing to be set and orders to be taken starting next month or in Sept. Delivery in Oct/Nov. It's as good a guess as any.Originally Posted by gsnt

Those are the USDM packages, per the leaked documents from MMNA.Originally Posted by gsnt

I'd love a spoiler-less Ralliart!!
Sadly, the USDM and AUDM (Australia) will get the silly spoiler.

Eeewwww, auto on/off headlamps, all these features sound like luxury car features.Originally Posted by gsnt

I always have said 'more things means more things to break'
One of the things I actually like about my car (and brag about) is the fact that it doesn't even have cruise control. I don't think these kind of cars should.
These types of things just make me want to buy an older car and just spend all of the money restoring it, and never buy a new car (AE86, FD3S, S13,14,15)

Do you know why it cost so much? Because the US Dollar sucks. That's why. What are you going to do now, blame America? Damn, you're a irritating troll. GTFO, please.Originally Posted by ExcessLancer
Exaclty they need to drop the lowest lancer model and sell the GTS model as base lancer.. then start the ralliart at $25K full loaded at $29K.. mitsu will be back ontop if they do that but i know they wont...Account Disabled

On the USDM version the evo steering wheel and the GTS wing are standard. The Recaro seats, Rockford sound system, and the HID headlights will be a package bundled as one.
There is a new thread that says the USDM RA will likely be $27K. It seems Mitsubishi has no choice but to price it that high.Originally Posted by dklau33
Please reread the articles and you will find they are only talking about the Japanse version. no cruise control?? your proud of this??
maybe you should buy and old car and restore it. then take it to a track and leave it there.
For those of us that want performance on a "day-day" basis the luxory of cruise control, nav, sunroof, etc. are actually useful as the real world has wives, kids, and stops at the grocery store.
As mentioned before having a 60-40 split seat in the RA is a huge bonus when moving luggage or groceries. Its the best of both worlds!

lets hope the thread is right and the ralliart stays just below 27 or just at because if you go to the website originally posted and convert yen to dollars the base ralliart is 28 thousand and that doesn't include bringing it from japan over to us and transportation.

Older cars are more likely to break over and over again. In the long run it's going to cost more than a newer car. Sounds like a good idea.

Well then, thank god you'll never be designing any car I'll ever buy. Cruise control is very handy for boring commuting driving, whether it's on city streets or highways -- not as if every morning is a race to work.Originally Posted by Jp7

Apparently the 2009 Lancer Ralliart has the same front brakes as the 2009 Lancer GTS:

... except in Japan? --

So which is it -- 11.9 inch GTS brakes or those apparently monstrous 16 inch Japanese Galant Fortis (their Lancer) Ralliart brakes? Personally, I'd prefer 16 inch front brakes over 12 inch front brakes, but it seems much more likely that's a typo... right?

No way they have 16" front brakes, A.) super cars use like 14" and B.) you'd need like a 19" wheel stock to clear those with calipers.
