one of my body got one
Nah im sorry, not true.
Yeah, like the previous reply. What are you talking about? The GTS doesn't have a turbo charger or the tighter suspension?
Besides that, i see two numbers that both have the wheels/tires to thank. Thats hardly beating it in every category.
The GTS outperforms the RA in no categories. Just as people are quick to say the RA outpeforms the EVO in no categories as well.
Oh, BTW- every time I visit my folks in Puerto Rico, the spanglish comes out like you wouldn't believe. I have two choices when I go there.
1- Stay at my folks and allow my Dad to drive me freaken nuts in order to avoid contact with the natives.
2- Venture out and watch people cringe as I brutalize the Spanish language.
Yep, you got it, I choose to watch the faces and learn not to add O's after every word...
I'm glad you've got a good sense of humor.
Don't get me wrong. I like the RA. I realize that the RA is faster in a straight line. Just saying that to buy a new car that requires 2 sets of new tires (winter and summer) is a little tough to swallow. My point was that for AWD and then have the skidpad and braking be so bad, you are telling me the GTS has awesome performance tires? Why not put those on the RA then?
I think tires help, but those are some pretty big differences to just blame on tires. I do think the brakes are fade resistant though.

You're out of your mind...you're talking about a car (GTS) that runs a 15.9 @ 88mph 1/4 mile as tested by R&T (16.5 @ 86.0 for the CVT version) vs. a car that ran a 14.1 @ 97 mph as tested by the same magazine? care to explain that logic?

I like the car, just trying to justify the money for what I am getting.

Since I don't drag race the 1/4 mile times do not really matter. I do like going fast though.

It does a multiple good changes on the car. Acceleration, breaking , cornering, what else modification does that besides the lightening up the car?
Do not under estimate the power of the tires.

He is the one
All I am saying is, that for the money I do not think the RA is a great deal. I like it and I may even get one. It is going to be a tough decision between the RA and the WRX. I wish I could wait until 2010 as I believe the RA will be better next year. But since I need a car in the next 4 months or so, the WRX is looking pretty good. As the last test showed. The RA averaged 17MPG while the WRX got 22. All things being equal, that is a big price difference over the long haul.
The performance numbers are not blowing me away on the RA. Is it good, YES. Is it great, NO. It is an above average car with a way above average price in its class.
On a good note. I do remember one test getting 26 MPG highway and about 18 city. I could live with that. WRX guys are getting 30 highway and 20+ city.
