Question Program F.A.S.T key to open all doors instead of just drivers

this is copied directly from the Mitsubishi page under the 'Owners' link:

Purchasing a new automobile is a big decision. We greatly appreciate you choosing Mitsubishi. In this section, you’ll find plenty of services to make your ownership experience better on the road and off. Like an on-line newsletter to keep you up-to-date about Mitsubishi and its vehicles as well as on-line service schedules. And don’t forget off-line activities like Owner Appreciation events.

Owner Appreciation Events
When you made your purchase you may not have had time to really understand all of your vehicle’s unique attributes. And new Mitsubishi vehicles are loaded with them! Do you know where on the dash we remind you which side of the vehicle your fuel door is on? How about that new F.A.S.T. key system? Do you know that it can be programmed to open all doors instead of just the driver’s? Why is it programmed from the factory to open just the driver’s door? How do you know what to check under the hood? Did you know that your new Mitsubishi has roadside assistance that even covers you when you lock your keys in the car or run out of gas? These are just some of the items that are covered during Owner Appreciation events at your local Mitsubishi dealer.

Many Mitsubishi dealers hold Owner Appreciation events where you, our newest family members, are provided with information about Mitsubishi Motors, your new vehicle, the dealership and its staff. In addition to receiving a lot of great information about your new Mitsubishi, you’ll get a tour of the dealership facility to see where and how your new vehicle will be serviced plus meet the dealership support team that will be there to assist you during your vehicle ownership. Please check with your dealership to see when their next event is scheduled. You’ll leave with a greater knowledge about your vehicle that will greatly enhance your Mitsubishi ownership experience.

Again, our sincere thanks for purchasing a Mitsubishi vehicle.

anyone figured out how to reprogram the F.A.S.T key yet or is it one of those things that we need to bring to the dealer and pay them $100 to hit a button on a computer?

I would imagine that something like this would be covered in the owner's manual, as well.

If you have the NAV/MMCs, you cam set all those things yourself. It's in the settings menu. Just browse around - lots of stuff to set/change in there. THat is covered in the MMCS manual which is referred to by the Owners Manual.

If your car does not have the NAV/MMCS, then a dealer can set those things for you - I don't know if they will charge but I suspect yes if you didn't not buy the car from them. I think it is done by the OBD2 port - it's in the service manual how to do it and what Mitsu special tool to use.

+1. You can configure the fast-key to do different functions. I believe this is in the manual.
