it does react slower then a mechanical , If you keep all the function on actualy it will hurt your time if you are a good driver. If not, then it helps. Trade off.
But that is why there are options. When you turn off ther ASC button completely off, then i prefer AYC over the mechanical LSD.
The half way , i dont know i didn't drove the car that much yet./meaning only the wheel breaking disabled. one click on the ASC button.

I think it is personal preference more then anything. Like some guy cant get use to a AWD, they prefer RWD. SO what ever its floats your boat

i prefer pure S-AYC, so turned off breaking help and turned off ASC complete. But i'm not an AutoX racer at all.
Side note:
for beginners or novice the S-AWC is a blessing. And because it is adjustable , a very good tool to learn the AWD car behavior. Like an invisible teacher

I imagine they are really beating on the WRX to get those numbers, but probably the same thing could be said for the RalliART, too.
They're even without launches. In the Jan '09 C/D comparo, they both ran 6.3 in rolling 5-60 test. Which is one of the most important testing numbers for me when researching/considering a car, as it is more "real world".
