My 2009 Ralliart
just a little side question on the side here... it was iced yesterday on road and i skid and kinda did a 360 onto a curb.. i cracked the very bottom of my front bumper and the bottom was kinda messed up.. ( the black plastic under the car ) and for soem reason
when i drive now it makes weird noises in the back...and i dont know what it is! you think if i take it to the dealership they would be able to help me out? maybe it just knock the tires out of balance?

sorry to hear what happened to your brand new car....so you hit the curb with the front? if the rear of your car hit the curb also maybe your exhaust pipes is loose or something...just jack up the rear and slide under and take a quick look to see if anything is loose or bent down there....
thanks guys for ur input... i just took off the entire black thing that covers the bottom because that was totally broken i thought the noise came from that but i just drove it around the block it isnt, i hope its something minor... u think something got loose yall said? :\ you think the dealershiop can fix it for me...
it was like i lost control and i headed towards the left side...then did a big you turn and slammed my front left and my bottom right hit the curb.... soo i was facing the opposite direction...good thing no one was near me or they woulda been hit and i woulda died or something..
+1 to stock tires sucking.
I had gotten my stock tires siped, and it seems to have improved their performance on snow/ice a little bit (haven't driven on dry asphalt yet). I don't slide around as much, and its easier to get traction on compacted snow / ice. It still has a rough time making its own tracks in over 6in deep snow, but I usually just stay on someone else's tracks anyway.
sorry to hear about your brand new RA
, hopefully the dealer can figure out whats going on with that noise. Prolly something fell loose like everyone said. & hopefully the dealer won't shaft you in prices for a fix!

well i foudno ut the issue today.. and yes the dealer will shafted me.. wanted 1200 without tax to fix it entirely.. it was like 800 for 1 new rim because it had chipped a tiny piece and they are stting it is making the car wobble which isnt true, i drive it and it seems normal to me... and 400 for the rear hub bearing or something... ima do the hub bearing first because that noise is bothering me... nothing was loose, first thing i did today was take it to discount tire, got them to rotate and balance tire... it was fine... it wasnt the issue then i had to take it to the dealership and thats what they told me... so what you guys think... take it to a diff place to fix the hub bearing ?
If the tire is holding air and the wheel isn't bent I wouldn't bother getting a new wheel. Any plans down the road to change all 4 wheels?
the rim is fine.. he saying it shakes i dont feel no damn shakes in the wheel lol... and yeah ima replace the rim which is why im not going to buy it... pff.. 800 for 1 rim ? this guy must think im stupid..thats retarded... ima get the hub bearing fixed though, that sound is bothering the crap out of me.. i can't even hear my engine when i drive... so yeah... but i think i can get it done cheaper though so ima look around.. other than that it drives fine... but you know how it is with your new baby...if something sounds off you want it corrected :\
If you hit hard enough to whack a bearing, you better get it aligned also, or you will be buying new tires in 4-5k. That bearing will just keep getting worse, so it needs fixed. If you broke the rim, it may be out of balance, even if it is only a piece of the lip. I would not drive it, as it could be stressed and you can't see it. Especially if it was cold. There is a lot of lateral force that the wheel is not designed to take. Maybe you can get lucky and find one off a wheel place if anyone has wrecked their GTS yet.
I did this 2 years ago, I got the rim myself off ebay first. Then fixed appearance. Then went to dealer with unknown sound, warranty for the bearing. Did not realign, and tire was down 1/16 in about 6 weeks. It will chew them right down if it is off. Mine drove fine with no shimmy or vibration. THought it was OK, just get it aligned.

You could claim this on insurance, but probebly not worth the consequences.
Where in Texas are you? There are lots of great shops that can take care of you depending on where you are located. I would get a whole set of aftermarket wheels for $800! WTF is wrong with them?
Swap your tail lights with my Evo plus $200 so that will help you pay for the damages.
