If they did up the power, it most likely would be only slight, and probably due to a retune rather than something like up uprated turbo. The best upgrade they could do would probably be a slight retune of the suspension, and uprated tires.

They most likely wouldn't do any of these things unless the Evo got some upgrades first.

any bumped hp , if they will do on the 2010. you can do it with yours that bump very easy for sure. Unless they will do a 5MT version. That is hard to come by.

One can only assume they would increase the HP or performance numbers. But do you think it'll be worth the extra wait. Or maybe they wont change anything at all.

Anything is possible but the Ralliart won't be getting an increase in power if the EVO X doesn't. It's already almost as fast up to 80 mph as an EVO X MR.

I don't see a power bump for the SST tranny until '11 (if the car lasts that long). A manual tranny that may be introduced might have a hp bump, and torque will likely stay the same. Just some thoughts...

Suspension setup is actually not bad. It's the lack of rubber and whimpy Outlander brakes that keep the Ralliart from having best in class handling.

Ya I doubt they will up the power or add a manual tranny option for 2010, earliest maybe halfway through the generation or when the Evo XI drops and when the Evo gets some upgrades. If they do introduce a manual for 2010 it will probly be bottle necked for tuning somehow, just more skeptism, this is Mitsu we are talking about, they do some crazy business decisions....

Is that true about the 0-80 RA vs MR?

I don't know the exact numbers, but the RA has more torque down low, so to 80 it probably is pretty close, after that the RA turbo is out of air and the Evo is just starting to sing.

Since the original poster was asking about the WRX, it's worth pointing out that the 2009 WRX is definitely faster, so if they're racing on dry pavement and need fast straight-line starts, then the WRX is the car for him (over the Ralliart).

If they're not planning to use the car mostly for dry-pavement racing, then they should take a Ralliart for a test drive in real conditions (rain or snow, for example -- avoid ice for your sake, and gravel for the dealer's sake). The Ralliart is very impressive at accelerating on slip surfaces, especially when you throw in a curve as well. It's an individual judgment call whether the Ralliart is better than a WRX, but in my opinion, the Ralliart wins hands-down overall for real-world driving (turns, slip, quick shifts, etc.).

[I now have a ton of experience driving my Ralliart on snow and ice, but very little driving on wet roads, so your experience may vary -- driving on ice is an art, even in the Ralliart, but driving a Ralliart on less than an inch or so of snow is as close to idiot-proof as possible]

if your worried about after 80, take it to TTP..they can help the car sing a little 80-100, trust me.

best bang for your buck.
