I tried getting used evo's for a while, but i couldnt work anything out. It all depends on your situation i guess, but my situation just wasnt good enough. The last evo i went for was an evo 8, and even with 6 grand down (on a $18k car) I was looking at $520 payments and a huge increase in my insurance. Seriously my loan for the evo would have been 18-20% interest rate, and my ralliart loan is 6%. So do I buy the 6 year old car (that could've been beat on for all 40k miles) or a brand new car with lower payments. It was a pretty easy decision for me, especially after I drove it.

The TC-SST wins the deal vs. the GSR for me, looking a few years down the road-I don't want to have to be shifting a 5-spd while I'm dealing with kids in the back seat. For others the GSR maybe the way to go.
This is what I've been thinking the past couple of days. I'm still gong to stop by and take the ralliart for a test ride. However, because of where I live, I only pay 4.6% sales tax on vehicles (I don't technically live in a city that is incorporated with the county I live in, so I don't pay city tax). So, I pay about half what others do. The tax deduction is only on local and state sales tax. Therefore, on a 30k ralliart, I get a $1380 deduction (maybe $400 in pocket). Honestly, that's not that much. Although, I guess that pretty much pays for registration fees (maybe not... reg fees for my GTS were $522). Too bad we can't deduct the entire cost of the vehicle, lol. That'd put me in a different tax bracket, lol!
