Location of Sirius receiver in 09 RA

Going to pick up my 09 RA in rotor glow with Nav on Friday. Anyone know where the Sirius Sat receiver goes? I need to install the one I got from a lifetime subscription purchase a few yeras ago. The subscription is specific to that receiver.

I heard its under one of the frint seats.

thanks

Dude if you got the RA with nav sirius is built right in to the nav unit and you dont need to mount the receiver externally. You should just be bale to give sirius you vin # and that should be all you need.

Call Sirius. You can transfer your lifetime sub from your old receiver to your new one. I've done that a couple times now as I've updated equipment. Also, the one in the car is specific to Mitsu, you won't be able to just slap in a universal one.

Yep. Just transfer the subscription as the Mitsubishi Sirius reciever is specific to Mitsubishi canbus cars. The only way to hook up your aftermarket Sirius tuner would be through FM or RCA which sucks because with the factory you get the full display on the Nav of artist, track, etc and it will sound slightly better.

BTW: The stock receiver is behind the glove box on the RH side.

Thanks-that's a huge help. I will contact Sirius when I get the car.

BTW-I test drove the WRX, Audi A3 and the BMW128 before I even knew the RA exisited. I knew about the EVO and really liked the look but it was a lot more than I was looking for as a dd.

When I first saw the RA I knew that was it. I have to say that hands down the RA was the best bang for the buck from performance to useful features. I felt it was much more repsnsive than the WRX 5-spd or the A3 DSG. The 128 was very nice but not worth all the extra$$$$.

I got 0% 48 months on the RA so i ma happy.
