RA is a good pick, just seems like there is way more buzz on the coupe compared to the RA. I have decided to wait until the end of the year to buy anything. I am still hopeful MITSU takes a page out of the SUBIE playbook and give the RA some better tires, brakes and about 30-40 more HP for 2010!! In the meantime I am watching what kind of power comes out of the GEN COUPE. RA seems to be stagnant right now. C'mon MITSU, pump it up.

Test drove the 2.0T tonight. No need to be looking for those in your rear view mirror. They will NOT be sneaking up on you. That thing did not have any sensation of boost at ALL.

I'm confused by that post. What are you trying to say? It's fast, or slow?

Yes, It is sloooooooooooooooow. Sorry for the confusion. No need for RA owners to fear a 2.0T, at least in stock form. Seemed to be NA to me with no power surge at all.

Isn't the 2.0T struggling to get past 225whp? Why would someone put brembos and an LSD on something like that?

i drove a 3.8 and if it weren't for technical data i would have sworn an RA would burn that too. its like driving a land yaht compared to driving an RA.

Yes stock vs. stock the RA would sh*t on it. But im sure it has potential. I'm sure it has something to do with the factory tuning.

Even the tuners noted the turbo is extremely small. Some tuners are thinking no more then 250whp when the turbo is completely maxed out. It's struggling to break 200whp right now.

Damn. Then I guess a slightly bigger turbo will be required. What size turbo does it use anyway. I'm guessing smaller than the RA.

I read somewhere it was similiar to the old DSM's, yet none of their parts will bolt to the gen coupe. Yes it's smaller then the RA.

I test drove a 3.8 before the RA as my decision was between the two cars as well. In the end practicality and 4 doors with a useable backseat won for me. Im in a tiburon now and the genesis coupe reminds me EXACTLY of a grownup tiburon. The inside was eerily similar except for of course all the new gizmos and nicer leather etc. I wanted a car with a back seat and 4 doors that I could move stuff in, not another tiburon. Speed wise the ZF 6speed 3.8 I drove was similar to the RA, however it doesnt seem like it because, as somebody else mentioned up there, it feels like land a yacht. The steering didnt feel as connected and it felt like you werent really on the road. I like a little more feeling during my driving, so the RA was better for me.
