Since the engine is the same, it doesn't surprise me that they moved a lot of the evo x engine parts over.

 

Hey atlest we now will find out hopefully the limit of the tranny. But until someone swaps turbos for an even bigger one then on the MR i don't see tranny failure any time soon. Ok tranny failure back to back just never sounds right... haha

 

Well they came out with a stroker kit moves it up to 2.3L at 8.8:1 compression atleast you can upgrade your head too with AMS parts that are legit =]

 

like i said in another thread... with in 2 years you'll see RA Freaks driving around out there

 

6 months to a year, tops. Someone out there is dying to build the **** out this car.

 

I would have said year but who knows how long it will take to figure out the tranny thats why

 

Good point. The trans work will come from the MR side of the house and it'll roll down to us. Sooner the better.

 

Yes, well AMS has an RA at 300 hp so looks like the tranny is the only weak point

 

I was wanting to know how long it would be for someone would be crazy enough to put the red turbo they got for the X on there RA... haha

 

A few MR's on here are running close to, if not over 400 wtq. I'm curious to see how well they hold up. Some decent info in our big brother section.

 

im building the **** out of this car. If the car can take it. its getting it. I want it in the high 12's by summers end. might not be possible yet but im still gonna try.

Did AMS post their quater mile time on their tuned RA with over 300 lb-ft???

Should'nt that be a tick below the 14's???? Car&Driver gave the Stock RA a 5.4 0-60 and 1 14.2 1/4 mile. Though I think that's being a bit too positive

 

I don't know where you going to get 12's on that stock turbo. I haven't seen anything close to 300whp yet...
