Best way to get the RA off the line?
Best way to get the RA off the line?
The SST is a little sluggish off the line and I was wondering what was a "safe" way to get a little more urgency to the stoplight jump?
I tried doing a very quick power brake by using the foot brake and it did not seam to make too much difference. Would using the hand brake work better? Would holding it against the brake longer do it?
Without a boost gauge, I can't tell if the ecu is pulling timing/boost while the car is motionless and your holding the gas down.
I am not looking to destroy anything, but a little quicker would be nice.
Thanks in advance.

How about learning how the lights work. I know in AZ and Cali there is a 3 second wait between red light and green light. So one count two gas it thus that delay you get wont be shown as when your "supposed" to take off you do.
This is what I used at the track that provided best results.
1. Turn off the ASC ( hold the button for 5 seconds)
2. Switch to sports mode
3. Put it in drive.
4. While holding the brake, rev the engine to 3k, but DO NOT hold it there for more than 3 secs.
5. Light turns green let off brake, stomp on gas.
6. Let the computer work it’s magic.
There you have it, my guide to a safer “launch” lol.
I am not reliable for a broken tranny after repeated use.
Use this guide at your own risk.

Yes, 3K is the sweet spot. You gotta get used to slam your gas pedal on it as soon as it hits that spot. It's like working on a woman's G spot. I don't know if yo uget me....
