I've said this before, but i'm a complete car rookie. I'm learning as i go :P
Can someone please explain to me what a boost pill is? And perhaps how one goes about installing one?
I plan to get the ecu flash + boost pill for my RA soon, but not much else. Just wondering what the sweet hell a boost pill is/does!

boost pill is in the middle clamp

All you have to do is pop the hood and find those clamps. Get a needle nose plier and loosen all three clamps. Remove part of the hose from the t. Then remove the other part of the hose from a small black line. You might need a flat head screwdriver to take loosen it up. Once you have the hose off, take a small Phillips screwdriver and insert it into the hose to push out the stock pill. Insert the new boost pill and make sure you put it in the middle clamp before the t. Hook everything back up. Remember, you must have a flash for the boost pill. If you decide to put the stock map back on you must put the stock pill back in.

The "boost pill" restricts the air flow from the compressor to the waste gate actuator, and solenoid. As a result, the actuator does not have to run as much duty cycle to divert air pressure away from the solenoid allowing more boost to build up. The actuator is a transistor switch that toggles back and forth either diverting air from, or allowing air to reach and build up at the solenoid. Once enough pressure builds up, the solenoid opens the waste gate releasing the boost pressure. From the factory the WGDC maps are maxed out in allot of areas which is unnecessary once "the pill" is in place. To prevent over boost and uneven boosting you must get a reflash.
