Turbo Timer
for a Turbo timer?? all that does is keeps the car on after you turn it off for 1 to 10 mins giving time for the turbo and tranny to cool down before shut off...
that doesn't have anything to do with boost or boost pill!!
bump... anymore thoughts?

Any problems? With the fast key? Or wiring issues? Or complications?
I thinking of either installing my brand new hard to find hks type 0 turbo timer or selling it and getting a new one... Like apex'i or stri

That delay is not "a turbo timer", its the SST tranny. Since the tranny has two clutches, there are two gears that are always engaged when the car is running. When you turn it OFF, both clutches disengage the gears and THEN shuts down the engine. This is to allow for easier starts, if the gears weren't disengaged, it could lead to some very hard starts.
yup that just a 5 sec delay for the tc sst... and i have heard and read about a "after run" can be set but dealer that will keep the car on for 3mins after stuf off if the aif time see something lik 100 to 120 degress and engine temps are at 180 to 200 degrees??? IDK maybe imm dreaming lol....
I know that when I was coming back from NC this past weekend we had stopped at a gas station, and once we had filled up we pulled into a parking spot and turned the car off but could still here the fans running well after a tranny delay period. Like I said though the fans I could still here running. I was suprised to actually have this happened. I figure it is a safety thing to help keep things cool while taveling.

That could be a glitch, may want to check that out.
^ nope mine did that too for a lil while. I had been driving it hard then forget to leave the engine running. Also did it when i was driving down to school. Thought there was another thread about this...
nope not a glitch... its a safety feature with most electric fan cars if the ecu on shut down see a coolant temp above a set safety temp. it will keep the fan on for 1 to 3 mins to do a force cooling... as the engine is off and sitting the coolant is not pumping so there is no transfer of coolant to the radiator... which means the engine is still boiling the coolant and no air is passing the radiator to cool down the sitting boiling coolant.... now with the fan on for 1 to 3 mins after shut down when the engine is off it suck air pass the radiator to cool down the boiling coolant.... while blowing air around the engine and cooling it down... to keep it for any the engine from overheating while it is off and sitting after a hard run...
hope that helps.....
