personaly the other 2 tickets i am pretty sure you can fight and win..
because he never pulled you over for the speeding after you left. They can't just make a ticket up on the spot hours after the fact... It never hurts to fight it, it doesnt cost you anything, only your time.

Would it change your mind if I said there were about five other cops there when I was pulled over who could and probably would back him up? They were having a ticket giving picnic.

i dunno how it works in AB.. but in BC.. I am about 99% sure only the cop that issued the ticket gets called to court.
If you really wanna be a dick and try to get the tickets tossed out.. you can ask for the records of how he took your speed, and the repair/maintenance reports for the radar gun or whatever he used. If he can't prove that the gun has been maintained regularly they will toss it out.

Cops can be real dicks when they want to, i got pulled over one time in my 91 talon for doing 5km over the speed limit. Since he couldn't give me a ticket for the speed, he gave me a tint ticket, loud exhaust ticket and flagged my car for provincial inspection even tho the car was in mint condition. Reason he gave for pulling me over is that my speed was increasing past the speed limit.

As for the exhaust ticket, i've always read that you can argue that because unless the cop has a decibel meter there is no way for him to truly know what it is. The ticket is purely subjective to who wrote it. I've heard that's how a lot of bikers avoid tickets. but idk for sure.
PLUS 1 fight that

show up for court.. plead not guilty to the exhaust ticket.. they will have to test the decible in order to fine you.. and as for the speeding see if you can get it reduced.. usually a couple of parking tickets.. but no points..

as far as tints.. i use to get them all the time.. $80 a pop.. i chucked it up to maintenance for my car.. lol.. that was on my last car..

Its not about the law. Its about money. More than 30% of moving violations are major revenue streams for police toys and programs. Since oblivious citizens just fork over the money whenever a cop hands out a ticket and dont question the local government or raise hell, we will just "Stop speeding and obey the laws, thats all there is to it."

The DMV itself is nothing more than population control and a minimum security prison. You can leave but you have to return sometime no matter what.

LancerGTS should move to China. They like that type of thinking over there.

I got my pulled over in my old GTI one night because i had a taillight out and the cop tried to go to town on my car with tickets but couldn't because he couldn't prove anything. I ended up getting a fix it for my taillight and a verbal warning that my car was too low, my exhaust was too loud and my the tint on my windows were too dark. Fixed the taillight, went to the station and never got pulled over again. Although my car got egged like 2 weeks later at like 4 in the morning and the cop who showed up was the same who pulled me over.
