Cheapest Insurance for '09 RA
Cheapest Insurance for '09 RA
Hey Everyone, what is the cheapest insurance for the '09 RA right now? I got a quote from The Hartford but they want like $240 a month (and that was the cheapest from all the others I researched on Insurance.com!). So I figured I would ask around for any advice.
How old are you? I'm 27 and get it through State Farm for (edit) exactly $95.96 a month. I probably get a few discounts through my family I would not normally get alone though.

My insurance company put the car down as a lancer es..... SO lol it has the right vin number on the card though and i told them it was the new ralliart but he said he got it right so im not worrying with it.
Haha, yeah that's what happened to me when I first got my '08 Lancer GTS. It was not in their system at the time so they put it down as a base '07 Lancer. That was a great year until they picked up on it the following year and my premium went up.

too many variables you can't rely on anyone's numbers no matter what.
That being said a safe bet is to just say you have a "Lancer" and not specify. I believe mine went in as a GTS.

how did you do that?? when i went to state farm they asked for the purchase papers, and when lady typed in the vin number in her pc, she printed me a temporary insurance card and on it said ralliart..
mine showed up as "09 lancer oz" on my insurance papers but on my insurance card it saids "lancer" as the type of car. i got state farm.
yeah, i was surprised that this car was cheaper then my 00 camry. i got full covers and my record is clean, only have a few speeding carmera tickets. (not with the RA tho)

You can't lie to the insurance company though. I know saying "Lancer" is not technically a lie but at the same time it is not the full truth. When something bad happens and you need the insurance company, then you might be in toruble. Either way, as Jake26 says, once you give them the VIN Number, everything pops up.
