Unhappy How? Where? - HID Kits on (currently) Halogen set-up.

I've been looking and looking around. I'm a real newb to modding up cars. My 09 RA did not come with the HID option. So, currently I have Halogen bulbs in a regular reflecting casing. I've been doing some research, and found that installing HID kits in a reflecting/halogen system is not recommended, causing terrible [and even dangerous] glare issues for oncoming drivers.

I just want the BEST and safe way of doing this. I understand HID kits are not approved and legal everywhere, that's fine. I'm really looking for a projector housing or set-up that will fit my car. Do I have to order it from Mitsubishi themselves? If that's the case, I'll do it. Has anyone else added their own HID set-up to their 09 RA that wasn't added at the factory?

I just installed these $125 shipped HID kit. It's a plug and play kit along with battery relay.
I have the 6k kit and couldn't be any happier. It looks better than a regular civic headlamp with HID's. They are still a blob though. You see more and its brighter.

The only problem is the day time running lights. I just leave my lights on all the time when the car is on.

Projectors is the best.

^The DRL's can be bypassed. If you are interested, check out my sig.

The OEM projector headlights cost lots of $$$. Some people take the retrofitting route.

What do you mean by the "retrofitting route"? What goes into that?

having someone work on your headlights to fit a custom projector;

right now there's someone working to get a non-hid housing look just like the OEM HID headlamps, check out this thread:

Should be ready in a couple weeks, hang on, you'll have your HID Projectors-like housing
