Where to install RRM springs? QA

Hey guys; my springs came in today...I was wondering where can I go to get mine installed? I called NTB and they wanted 493. $420 without the allignment. Is there anywhere I can take it..or does anyone know if its difficult to install by myself?

On a side note...should i get an alignment right away or wait awhile?

Fairly easy to install yourself, you might want to pick up a spring compressor but it can be done without.

Here's a video of it being done in a Lancer (same process as RA): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrYKdyHySJE

I'd ride around a bit before getting an alignment, because they'll shift around a little until they get settled in.

dude do it yourself me and my buddy were messing around and timed ourselves to see who can do it faster its not hard at all its like 6 bolts you have to loosen. it took me around 8 minutes to take my stock out and put the aftermarket in and have the tire back on and it can be done faster. but for your job to be easy ul need a spring compressor..

The shocks will need to be removed to change the springs on them

No. Ride around for a week or two first. If you get an alignment right away, you'll probably need to do it again once the springs settle into their final positions.

Wow, really---replace springs on your car without a spring compressor??-- aint no way no how--that spring will take your head off and crap in your neck! Dont ever unload a spring on a strut without a spring compressor no matter what kind or rigged POS your friends come up with---its a death wish. Buy or go to a rental place and rent a spring compressor--do us all a favor.

I know on some cars if you do it without a compressor that thing will fly apart and punch a hole in your wall, but the RA's springs aren't under too much pressure. Just be careful, and aim it in a safe direction just in case.

Check out that video right around 4:00, the RRM guys do it without a compressor too.

If you have any doubts, definitely rent/buy a spring compressor. You can buy your own for less than $50.
