Bad Drivers + Ice = RA in the shop.
I'm sorry guys where I live we don't use insurance companies per say.
We all have to use the Government owned Public Insurance utility Called Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation or MPIC for short and if the police determine neither party is at fault then No demerit point are given to either driver and you would simply pay your deductable amount according to what level of coverage you bought and all costs in returning the vehicle to pre accident status are covered by MPIC unless of course the damage was extensive or the repairs needed outweighed the value of the vehicle in question in which case you would be issued a check based on their book value of that vehicle etc..

we can mke u-turns at pretty much any intersection, unless there is a sign saying you cant. You cant make u-turn in the middle of a block, ie not at an intersection. In a former life I was a cab driver here in Banff and we had Q&A meeting with the RCMP.
I'm well aware of the fact we can make U-turns anywhere unless otherwise stated. But I've drive in the US (Florida to be exact) and they have specific signs allowing you to make the U-turn. We dont have those signs here in Canada. Therefore it is more widely accepted to perform a U-turn in the US.
