Skid Plate
I had a look under the front of my car today and saw that the plastic skid plate in the front is all busted up with chunks missing! The oil filter is no longer covered. It has been cold here lately and I have driven over some chunks of ice and snow that have fallen off big trucks while on the highway. The plastic must have been brittle. Anyway....does anyone know of any metal skid plates that will replace the factory one? The last thing I need is to drive over something and have my filter busted off!!!
I dont think so but you could check with WORKS and see if their Rally Ralliart has one and if they will be making one in the near future for the customers. I would hope if that they made one it would not be expensive.
i think you should just seek out a local fabricator / metal shop near you.
if you have concerns about the underside of you car........
..........do not wait for someone to make one available.
at this time i do not see one available " off the shelf" from any vendors.

I dont think that Evo X skid plate will fit from that link. The plate has to align with the suspension of the X and our suspensions are completely different. I think going to a fab shop is definetly the best idea yet.

I contacted WORKS and they said that they are looking into producing a skid plate like the one they have on their rally ralliart. Potentially 4 - 6 months away.

Great to know! Hopefully, they can come up with a few options. I know Primitive makes skid plates, and they have the option of a thicker paneling depending on what your plans are. I believe the rally skid plates are 3/16" aluminum.
If you do go to a metal fabrication shop, let us know what price you are quoted.
