erratic idle....

Sometimes once in awhile, while at a stop light my idle RPM would be erratic and unstable yet has never died. It would last a few seconds then back to normal, a friend said it maybe a vacuum or pressure leak. I would appreciate any thoughts or feed back if anyone else is experiencing this problem. I guess time to make an appointment to the dealer....

I saw this issue in the X forums awhile back...it may or may not be the same issue. But worth checking out. It turned out to be a simple vacuum hose that popped off and causes idle to be all screwy.

Well I checked the hose and it's still on, I will remove the cover and check the other end later, hopefully some hose clamps or zip ties will prevent the crazy idle....

On a side note just replaced the stock yoko's and wow I really didn't realize how badly the inside thread was warn out, with only 25,000 miles. Good news is with upgraded 225 the car feels so much better....

I had a similar problem with mine up until recently and was told that it is to do with the aircon.

I tried it with it turned off and it works. So my ecu was sent away to be reprogrammed as there is a know issue over here in the uk

I have the same issue that happens from time to time and my hose it still on. I forgot to zip tie jus incase its leaking a bit. Yea the stock tires are bad. I'm gonna wait until they are destroyed b4 i change tires, i don't want to ever see them again.

The AC definitely makes the car idle poorly, so that is the first thing I'd check.

That aside, I do occasionally get random weirdness in the idle, but it only happens occasionally and doesn't last long (except if the AC is going).
