Why you chose a Ralliart
it's pretty much been said already. i bought mine because of price, comfort, awd, looks, sst, recaros and HIDs standard in Canada, and practicality (sportback). the WRX hatch is actually a lot less roomy i found. warranty options were better too.
although the WRX has been proven to be the better performer out of the box, it's also a harsher ride and felt less refined than the RA in terms of driving. the wrx is more "raw" feeling, where as the RA definitely assists you more.

From just about every review the Ralliart came in dead last mainly due to power output,'most importantly the AWD in the RA didn't fair well versus the FWD cars tested in handling, skidpad G test wasn't as impressive either.
The main issues I had with the Ralliart was the cheap interior plastics, unimpressive stock seating, hadn't had the opportunity to test the Recaro seats, though seems a little much for a car pushing 238bhp.
I assume that the next gen MS3 will include the venerable torque reduction system found in the UK Focus RS. I agree that the CobaltSS has quality issues but retains a strong motor and some very interesting option.
As far as a Mini, go to a autox and see how many Minis are present, supercharged or turbocharged.
As far as females driving Mazda3's and Minis, this is true though most don't drive the Speed nor S versions.
But I have seen more riced Lancers along the lines of late '90 and early 2000 Civics etc.

Yes testing the AWD RA against other FWD cars is kind of pointless. Might as well throw some RWD vehicles in there as well for good measure if coming up with non-conclusive results is what they are looking for.
As for the MS3, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better as far as raw HP and handling go for the price out of the box on a new car. Throw on a few hundred dollars in add-ons from somewhere like Corksport and you have quite the beast for pretty darn cheap.

It seems like
deliberately put bad tires on the car to sabotage the handling to widen the gap between the Ralliart & Evo. The stock tires lose grip and squeal unpredictably, so you lose the benefits of full-time AWD when taking corners.Put on extreme performance summer tires and it is a completely different animal. If Mitsubishi put decent tires on the car from day one then there would have been a lot more sales.
evo has always been the car i dream of owning.. but at my current age/income right now, all i can afford was a Ralliart ... so didnt need to look further...
was going to get a Civic Si ... but unlucky for the dealership they didnt have one to test drive, and instead told me to come back in a week ... the next day i went to submit an offer for the Ralliart =P

Yep. Completely down to the stock tires imo. The GTS with its poor-seasons tires got a higher skid pad rating than the Ralliart they are that bad.

The AWD has more traction than a FWD and grips more to the ground so of course it won't slips as much as FWD you can compare that to other AWD in the same class as the RA.
That's why people get the RA because it has the traction control, no matter how hard you press on the gas at a turn it will not slips by automatically decreasing it's speed and balances the AWD control to each individual wheels.
Get some research done.
What's wrong with you?! First of all why you compare a FWD and AWD?
