Over the past few days Ive been having an issue with a noise coming from my passenger side under dash. Only when the A/C is on i will get a rotational fan noise ranging from a mid/high pitch sound similar to a fan blade hitting something as it rotates to a low pitch sound similar to an electric motor struggling to rotate. Also, when I turn the car off with the A/C on I can hear the fan slowing down.

However, the A/C doesnt seem to have any issues cooling. Im going to call the dealer and set up an appointment to get it looked at when I get my oil changed this week. Anyone have a similar issue?

 

I had something similar in my old car. Apparently a leaf got sucked up into the duct work, and got wedged in one of the lower outlet vents. I was able to get rid of it by rapidly varying the fan speed, but I'm sure a vacuum cleaner would work just as well.
