when i switch my turbo over to an Evo X i was told i need to get an aftermarket intake...but i do however want a cold air intake would that work? dont want the AMS cuz i dont want to move my battery (bummer i know) Maybe just get a UR? no much options left for me here...

oh yeah also heard Injen intake wouldnt work forgot to add that no wonder it seems like a knob question

 

most EvoX intake would work.. (if it clears the battery)

the inlet from the x turbo to the intake is different, on a different angle and will not work.

Additionally, as i told you in PERSON steve (lol) most X intakes will work but will require moving the battery. Using the UR short ram, OR an evo MAF with a K&N cone filter short ram are the 2 easiest options. For reference, the x turbo moved the ur intake forward almost 3 inches, and it BARELY clears the battery.

Another thing to consider steve, is that you have the ams tranny cooler, the injen wouldnt fit down there.

ALL cold airs will require moving the battery on the x setup. ALL of them.

There is nothing wrong with a short ram on this setup bro. Your intercooler is like a meat locker its so big and cold like, you need not worry.
