Evo X intercooler- what piping is needed?

hey guys, i tried searching but i couldnt find anything that answered my question clearly. Im a noob when it comes to modding but my question is, i bought a evo x intercooler withiout evox piping and i want to know what piping kit i could buy to make it work? I heard that our uicp pipe wont fit so i figured i would buy this kit

http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...cat=162&page=1

Im wondering if even this will work cause our turbo is smaller and the evo's is bigger so will it work? Im tryin to find something cheap for now so i can install it, so if someone can find me something less than 400$ that would be great. thank you

eww agp.

If you call ultimate racing www.ultimate-racing.com and tell them you have a RA with an evo x intercooler, they will send you a perfect fit.

I believe the stock RA LICP will fit the EVO X IC.

thats what i plan on doing but does anyone know any even cheaper hardpipes? the UR with Upper and lower pipe kit with the silicone adapters is 365$ which isnt bad but if it it was a tad cheaper i could get it sooner

I asked the UR guy he said i had to get both upper and lower kits? is that true? he said the RA inlets are 2.25 but the evo fmic is 2.5 inlets.

k guys well I'm going to be ordering uicp and licp kits from UR in s few days and I was looking st velocityhead's "how to". he used some custom pipe for the bpv, is this necessary when using the UR pipe kit? he used a own evo licp witha t1r hard pipe

I have the EVO X front mount UR UICP and stock RA LICP i have had no problems and everything fits. You will need a 2.5" to 2.25" reducer silicone coupler for the LICP.

I just installed the UR uicp, licp and a X intercooler. I did not have to cut or fabricate anything for pipes to fit.

well i have put the car on a dyno so i dont know if there are really any gains. I do feel that the spool up on the turbo is quicker then before. But again it is just a feeling i have so dont quote me on anything.
