I don't know...I like that they gave the wrx the widebody (who buys the sti anymore?) and the front looks clean from angles up close...but it's just not as aggressive or stirring as even the RA is, let alone an evo.

it's like subaru didn't know which designer to promote to lead the WRX team, so they promoted two equally skilled ones - one likes rounded and curvy body styles and the other likes boxy and tight angles.

and so you got the wrx. at least the exhaust sounds good even if the rest of the car just looks like absolute garbage.

on that same note, i saw a '11 gen coupe on the road today behind me. never really realized how bad that bitter beer face looks from the tiny puckered grill on the front how did i miss how bad it is...

They can have their widebody. I'll keep my Evo 4B11 and Evo AWD.

hmm... not soo much really. I would say the WRX AWD is closer to the STi AWD than the RA AWD to the Evo AWD. Evo has AYC and we don't and the only difference between the WRX and the STi is the differential settings and throttle control settings. As far as likeness goes the WRX is far closer to the STi than the RA to the Evo. Also, the WRX has the same engine as the Sti.

I thought toredefine meant that our ralliart has evo x engine and evo 9 awd with evo x mr tranny, does the new wrx share the same engine and awd with sti? If so then they are really really close, so they both have the same body style, why get and sti then, still I feel ralliart still looks better specially with some mods

yeah, how exactly does fatter tires and stiffer suspension make a car slower?

Agreed!!!

yes the WRX and Sti have the same engine and similar trannies ( like the RA and Evo X but the WRX tranny SYSTEM is the old STi system)
Reason to get STi:
Better Tranny System
Better Clutch
Stiffer Body, it has bigger anti-roll bars
Wider Wheels and Better Tires
Bigger and MUCH BETTER Turbo
STi holds it value way better
all of this equals to way more than the $8000 difference in the WRX and STi

I really like my car, at first I didn't too much but the more I drive the more I like, but I just feel like Subaru seems friendly and Mitsu seems aggressive, maybe it's the more aggressive styling but I always see mitsu drivers wanting to race everything on the street, especially evo 9's, funny I saw an evo 9 the other day with an STY sticker on the back.

The Evo X's look much more aggressive than the new STI. The sedans are just plain ridiculous. I don;t know what's up with Subie lately on their designs... The best looking model is the 06-07 hawkeye WRX. The 04-05 is getting old and ugly to me. lol
