How do you wash your RA that is Plastidipped?...

I am curious how do you guys wash your RA that is plastidipped coz if you bring it to a car wash shop and rub the chrome ring too hard the plastidipped might peel off... in that matter my car is hand wash only providing the TLC she needs..

I do what you do. Wash it by hand. Carefully.

I drive my plastidipped ring and lip through car wash all the time and it always comes out clean without peeling. Depends on how many coats you put on. I emptied a whole can on mine. 20 mins between coats till can was empty.

The problem with my plastidip is that it is rough not smooth so even if you wipe it gently it starts to catch. Starting to wonder if I should just paint it.

SIMPLE. Just use a pressure washer, dont go to close. Should be fine.

I go to the coin-op all the time, was the car by hand and power wash my plasti-dipped parts.

Hope this helps!

how rough is it? I take mine to the full service wash and manual with the high pressure wash with no problems. I also did several coats with 20 min in between

My ring has been plasti dipped for about 4-5 months. I usually wash my car by hand with a pressure washer and I have honestly held it to the plasti dip to get bugs off and see if it will hold and it does.

I thought of painting mine as well. If you do show some pics. I also might paint wheels with plastidip and paint over that to try out different colors.

I've done the DIY/Drive through/Hand wash with plastidip on multiple times throughout the past two years. No major problems. It's a pretty durable product.

i hand wash my car, i never take it to a machine wash. my plastidip chipped in a few places so im going to either vinyl or get it painted professionally cause i dont want to have to deal with it again.

So many people pressure wash....

I would never subject one of my cars to that again.

Waaaay too harsh.
