may have just bought a ralliart
Been looking around for a while for a good deal and after looking for 1-2months I kept coming back to the Black Ralliart Sportback at Giuffre Mitsubishi. Finally got around to going up there and actually looking at the car. Sales guy was nice enough for wanting to sell me something lol and we went and looked at the car. 1st thing i notice is that the center caps on all the wheels were MIA, with it being in Brooklyn NY i'm not surprised that they were taken off by the dealer them selves to prevent someone stealing them. As reference the shift knob was also taken off.
Walked around to the back of the car and saw that on the hatch is full of scratches, like in the rain, it looked dry. We open the hatch and notice that the cargo are cover (black hanging thing is bent),and then panel where the rope that holds it up is cracked and broken off.
Now we try to start the car, AND.... the battery is dead. we pop the hood and i notice that the snorkel/ ram air thingy isn't bolted down so they've known about the battery for at least a little while. put a jumper on the battery, and she starts right up no problem. not ideal but i can understand....kinda. Sit in the car, and love the way the Recaro's hold me in, i feel nice and snug lol I turn on the headlights, HID's come on and look good, fogs work fine as well. Then i go to turn the radio on to see hwo it compars to my tiny system in my MSP (mazdaspeed protege for those that don't know) and Nothing happens. I play with the volume, cd, radio, mute, the display confirms the buttons are working, but nothing is playing out of the speakers.
Test drove the car and everything worked perfectly, tried the paddles, no reverse delay everything worked fine, trip display, switched between sport and normal mode, just tried regular drive everything seems to work perfect. so its just cosmetics and a battery for the most part.
So keeping all of this in mind i decide to sit down and talk price. We talk for a bit and he says that 26,995 is the best they can do. I counter with the fact that they had a similar one with nav listed for 22,995 but it was sold, and I'd like lower than that seeing as how it was identical. He "talks" with the sales manager and she says ok and they'll honor it; but only because the similar one was still listed on the site. I bring up all the problems and he "talks" to the sales manager, again, and says they'll drop 500 off and fix everything and i can pick up the car tomorrow with everything fixed.
So I left them a $100 fully refundable deposit and gonna see what the car looks like tomorrow
If all goes well, I'll be a new ralliart owner, if not I get my $100 back and the hunt is on again lol
end Rant

So, you're saying the price would be $22,500? Is that "out the door" pricing, or are they going to add tax, tags, and destination fees? Also what year is this car? If you can get a 2011 for $22,500 as an "out the door" price and they get everything working properly, that seems like a really good deal to me.
just make sure you check it thoroughly, it just sounds like it's subpar condition
regardless of price, if it isn't 100% working and new quality, I wouldn't even buy it as a "New" car. If you're going to buy a car with less-than-new quality, just look for a used one and save even more.

What year is this car? And make sure you know what is left on the warranty. I would make them stretch that before buying this car. Have a trusted mechanic check it out first, I'd be very cautious if I were you. If they can't keep a car in condition to sell (making sure it starts is probably a good idea before you put it on the lot) then I wouldn't put it past them to leave other things not looked after like maintenance. This looks like a headache if you ask me.
The way things are these days, you can certainly find a better conditioned car. It's a buyers market don't forget that, search for the best deal don't settle for this one.

if this is new i wouldnt suggest buying it since if its in rough condition- like everyone else said. but if price is good and your satisfied with the condition is is go for it. but if you change your mind tomorrow, try the cherryhill triplex, they stock alot of cars and i used to work there so i can talk to the managers for you to try to get you a deal.

the car is a brand new aka 12miles no owners so full warranty. right now the only issues seem to be cosmetic. I wanted a 2010 left over because the 2011's don't have the recaro option, its now leather, whcich i don't care for. also they're fixing them before i take the car. so right now i haven't paid anything technically for the car. if its fixed i still have the option to take it or not. but

I'm pretty sure it isn't, if it's the rotor glow sportback it isn't because a friend of mine bought it and ended up returnin it cause bank didn't approve and he didn't like recaros

I did a search for "giuffre" and only 5 threads came up, only 1 person, other than yourself, saying dont go there or staying away.
i know someone had a bad experience with them buying a used and clearly abused car and upset after the motor popped 2 months later. but thats why you don't buy a half-assed "built" used car with 80k miles and he "drove it like it was meanted"
I'm not defending the place at all so don't get it twisted, but so far they haven't done anything wrong by me. I should be getting a call to go back today and i'll see what happens then.
