AntiBlitz Down! Now with PICTURES!

Hey all, as most of you may kno i own a RA, but my other passion is my motorcycle. Well i wrecked it yesterday(2/18). Now im trying to type with one hand as my left collar bone was shattered in the crash. Ill try and get some pics of everything. I go to an orthopedist on monday to see how they want to rebuild it, but until then im walkin around in a sling . I own a Blue GSXR 1000 if anybody wants to kno. So ya guess im outta the modding car world for a bit as i can barely walk without this bone movin and grinding the other causing pain. Again ill try and put some pics up of everything to make it all a bit more interesting lol.

Anybody want an injen CAI for there RA let me kno 225 shipped, goin to need money now to pay for bike repairs . i need new rear sets, and frame sliders and a newplate on the left side of my bike. My fairings are a bit scratched but ill try touch up paint on em first since they are expensive and the frame sliders for anybody who owns a bike! HEED MY WARNING, BUY FRAME SLIDERS FOR YOUR BIKE AS THOSE LIL GUYS SAVED MY BIKE FROM TOTAL ANNIHILATION!

And there is my left clavical shattered, as u can see it is broke 4 times total. The large piece coming to the surface of my skin and stabbing me all the time. And the other 3 pieces floating about, 2 of which are smaller and floating around, and the larger piece which is supposed to be connected to the bone that is now stabbing my shoulder.

Did you high side????

I ride a 08 gsxr 600 myself, and have seen some bad wrecks. My buddy was clipped by another bike moving about 50 while he was going about 20 to make a u-turn. The other bike shattered his leg and sent him sliding down the highway. Scary stuff, I'm very particular when I go riding (conditions, traffic, etc..).

Hope you heal quickly.

Damn dude, that sucks. At least you walked away from the crash. I'm just starting to ride and I hate hearing/reading stories of people wrecking. However it still hasn't stopped me even though some people think I'm nuts to want to ride.

I will definitely take your advice when I can afford it and get some frame sliders for my bike.

So if you don't mind my asking, what caused you to highside?

psycho, i wont try and scare ya but i was only goin 15mph......yes ur all prolly like wait wut. That seems slow as hell, well i thought so too till i got up and screamed like a pansy in utter pain from my shoulder. It was a 90* angle turn i slowed down alot to make it since it was residential as well. I had just washed the bike after changing the oil, spark plugs, and coolant. I literally made it 2 blocks from my house and whammo. I believe the cause was when i washed it, i had some coolant i had spilled on the ground earlier from takin out the old. Well i had washed my bike in the same spot and i assume rolled my tire thru it making it slick. Since i only went a few blocks away my tire still was not fully dry and was well lubricated to mess my day up on its first lean. So ya leaned just a lil into the corner like a normal biker, and the rear tire dipped out from under me, i tried to save it but once it caught traction again from me tryin to pull her back, all the momentum high sided me like a effing slingshot accross the roadway. So note to everyone slow or not ur bike will eff ur day up, and frame sliders or rail sliders what ever u want to call em please buy some to save the bike.

I understand what your saying. 2 weeks after I started taking my bike for a spin around the block in my neighborhood to teach myself how to ride I got a little cocky turning right into my driveway. Turned the handlebars to the right more than I should have for the speed I was going, ~5-10 mph. I felt the bike getting ready to lowside and dump me, so I grabbed a fistful of front brake and caught my bike from going over with my legs while slamming the boys into the gas tank. I pulled my bike up the driveway, put the kickstand down, and got off to make sure the boys were still there. It messed up my confidence for a couple weeks and freaked me out on making right hand turns. Luckily I'm over it now. But that experience taught me a valuable lesson and I know I'm still gonna have more lessons to learn from.

Thanks for explaining what happened, hopefully it will help me and others out in the future.
