A little help for a grieving person

Ok guys I bought my 2011 Ralliart back in November and from the day i got it ive been doing nothing but modifying I got an Injen cai an evo x ic ur upper ic pipes hks bov defi boost guage rota p45r 9.5 30 offset wheels nankang ns2 tires swift lowering springs tune by rre and recaro seats because i didnt buy my car with stock recaros. I got my seats installed on the 23 of this month on the 24 i was planning on putting my sparco 4 point seat belts on and i would be done modifying for this year, well comming home from work on the 24th some one decided to merge into my lane while i was in it i swerved so the person wouldnt hit me but i ended up hitting the truck that was next to me. both of my tires and rims were totaled and the side of my car has dents all over the place. Every one was ok and luckly the person who merged into my lane stopped and admitted it was his fault, a police officer wrote everything down including telling me to recirculate lol. So my questions are:
What happens now?
Does the insurance give me a check?
Do they pay for my tires and wheels even though they are after market?
Does my insurance go up?
Any help would be really appreciated.

When i bought my recaro seats the guy who sold them to me didnt include the rails and tried selling them to me for 200 afterwards, is that normal?
ps i didnt buy them i paid 100$ to have them custom fit to my rails.
Thanks in advance.

If you have any questions about your insurance, you should contact your insurance company. Every company, and every policy, is different.

It really depends on your insurance. But since you have an accident report and someone claimed fault, that person's insurance should pay for the damages to your car.

As far as your aftermarket stuff, if your insurance was set up to cover your aftermarket accessories I would say yes they should be covered. If you do not have your aftermarket accessories covered through your insurance, I would say that they probably will not cover them and that would be out of your pocket to replace them.

When someone broke in to my car and stole my aftermarket stereo my insurance paid for it even though it was aftermarket. I think u should be alright with them replacing your aftermarket stuff.

Sorry to hear this, and hope everyone is OK. Vehicles can be reapired or replaced, people can not.

Well, in many ways most guys can only guess at the most likely answers to these questions because we really don't know the terms of your insurance policy, that of the person apparently at fault, or other factors that might come into play.

First things first, if the accident was not your fault as you describe, the other driver should have been cited for causing the accident. That said, that should make him and his insurance carrier clearly liable for the damage to your car, but if you are in one of those "no fault" states, then each driver's insurance must cover the damage to each driver's car.

You really do need to report the accident to your insurance carrier, and check with them about terms of coverage for your mods. They most certainly will require repair quotes, some insurance companies require you to bring the car to them, others allow quotes from literally any body shop/repair facility. In terms of the aftermarket mods, generally the insurance should cover the cost to return your car to the shape it was in prior to the accident, but different carriers and policies might have different terms of coverage.

And last but not least, your insurance premiums should not be increased for an accident that was not your fault but you should be certain the other party does not dispute responsibility. Best of luck!

Well I think replacing rotas would be cheaper than replacing oem wheels wouldn't it? But I've talked to some people that say that they got checks instead of being sent to a body shop. I would really prefer that. By the way I have farmers and they said they were gonna send some one out on Thursday to look at it
